2022 Year in Review
Our first year of operation was thrilling as we were able to give 5 vehicles to families in need of reliable transportation. God’s goodness and love continually amazed us as He provided what was needed at each step of the journey. In each of our client relationships, our team was wonderfully inspired by the character and determination of our clients to move forward in their goals, despite the challenges they faced.
The vehicles, which were provided for by our generous donors, enabled these inspiring folks to move toward self-sufficiency minus the burdens of wasted time, resources and opportunities.
Isaac and Nadia are now able to take their six children to school and church, and can both have a job to support their large family
San can go to work and school without having to use a significant amount of his income for rideshares or walk in the elements
Lisa is able to transport her baby twin daughters to childcare, and be close to her family while still holding a good job
Amber can get to both her jobs on time, and the vehicle assists her in caring for the many family members who depend on her
Mikey’s family now travels to work, school, and the grocery store without having to brave the elements, and has the freedom to take advantage of opportunities in their new home
Along the way, the OnRamp DFW team grew in our experience, especially in the following areas:
waiting for God’s timing and provision
listening and asking questions
buying vehicles and transferring titles in the state of Texas
organizing the amazing gifts and abilities our volunteers bring to the table
juggling the responsibilities of a startup with the commitments of family and full-time jobs
anticipating the delightful outpouring of support by generous people with open hearts
As we start a new year, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who made 2022 such a huge success!
In 2023, we hope to build on the foundation that was laid in 2022, and are asking God to provide 12 new clients and the resources needed to give them the gift of reliable transportation.
