We did it! Vehicle #1 is on the road.

This past week marked the delivery of our first vehicle! Nadia and Isaac got the keys to a van that is coincidentally the same make, model, and year as the one they lost in a hit and run accident last year. God is truly in the details. Seeing the van, Nadia wiped away a tear, and Isaac told us “maybe this horrible thing happened so that we could meet you and have this connection.”

Most certainly, one of the greatest joys for us has been connecting with Nadia and Isaac and taking part in their story.

…and this is only the beginning. For the next 12 months we will be checking in with Nadia and Isaac, making sure they make their routine oil changes, guiding them with any maintenance, and helping them with any repairs.

Speaking of repairs, Jason at Christian Brothers Automotive gave us a great discount to get the van in tip-top reliable form for the family. Then super volunteer Tim Bernett deep cleaned the interior and replaced a worn out door pull. Great work Tim!

Prior to delivery, the board and our families were able to put the finishing touches on the van and have it pristine for Nadia and Isaac. We have learned that an undertaking like this takes a village! It was a great way to get our kids involved.

We are praising God for this opportunity to love on our community! HUGE THANKS to Blake Jennings of College Station-based OnRampTX, Jason at Christian Brothers Automotive, Miranda of For the Nations Refugee Outreach, Woodcreek Church and ALL volunteers and supporters. We couldn't have done this without you! Be sure to share this story and help us raise funds for upcoming vehicles by directing people to our DONATION PAGE.

Thank you again. We did it! Oh, and just in case you were wondering, we have exciting news coming about our next client and next vehicle! Stay tuned …
