Client 27: Reclaiming freedom and hope for the future

Whew, what a month! Because of many factors, including the generosity of our donors, the hard work of OnRamp DFW volunteers, and partnerships with fantastic nonprofit organizations, we were able to help a third new client with a vehicle in the span of 30 days. That’s a record for our organization!

Our of respect for privacy, we won’t share the specific details of this client’s story, but we can tell you we partnered again with Unbound Now as the advocating organization. Unbound Now works toward ending human trafficking, which includes advocating for trafficking survivors. If it surprises you that human trafficking is happening in our DFW communities, you can go here to learn more about trafficking, including how it happens and how you can help.

We are incredibly proud of this client, who is taking significant steps towards building a stable life, and is choosing to hope in the future. Helping her with the transportation piece of the puzzle of self-sustainability will enable her to attend a tech school and eventually get her own apartment. As our client goes through her year of OnRamp service, Margaret from our Client Care team will check in with her to make sure her car is operating well, to see how she is progressing on her goals, and to offer words of hope and supportive prayer on her behalf.

We have client updates to share!

This holiday season, We will be celebrating the hope of Christ on our social media pages by sharing encouraging updates from past clients who have received a vehicle. Check us out on Facebook and Instagram to catch these updates on the folks we have invested our hearts in!

Organizations that help people in need obtain reliable transportation are rare.

As word about OnRamp DFW is getting out, we are receiving an exponentially- growing number of applications - in October alone, we received 60 client nominations. Compare that to the 76 nominations we received all of last year!

Would you consider making a monthly or end-of-year donation to OnRamp DFW to help us make an even bigger impact in our DFW communities in 2025?
